The Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) is a migrant settlement program providing free, confidential information and help for permanent residents who have arrived in Australia in the past five years. The program aims to equip and empower refugees, humanitarian entrants, other eligible permanent migrants and their communities to address their settlement needs in order to improve social participation, economic well-being, independence, personal well-being and community connectedness.

SETS offers intake support over the phone or face to face by appointment at Nambour Community Centre. Our experienced and degree-qualified case manager is available for one on one support for individuals, as well as working with families and youth to identify goals and how to achieve them.

Services offered by SETS include information, referrals and support concerning the following:

  • Housing
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Social Security and Centrelink
  • Education and English classes
  • Employment
  • Relationship support
  • Transport

A Case Manager is available from Mon – Fri from 8:30am - 4:00pm.  Walk ins/appointments available where possible.  Please know that we have Interpreters available.

*SETS is funded by The Australian Government Department of Home Affairs.
