What is a New Settlement Program?
With the latest census data showing that 1 in 5 Sunshine Coast residents were born overseas it’s timely that a new program has just been launched to support migrants to settle on the Sunshine Coast. The Settlement program is all about supporting new migrants to access Australian services such as health, employment, education and transport. The Settlement Program which is based at Nambour Community Centre, can provide free confidential information to support permanent residents who have arrived in the last 5 years as refugees, humanitarian entrants or family stream migrants who live on the Sunshine Coast.

NCC has recently received funding from the Department of Immigration & Citizenship under the Settlement Grants Program funding program to deliver this work.
