Question and Conversation Board
Nambour Community Centre now has a Question and Conversation board located in the open area adjacent to the shared kitchen. It’s basically a large whiteboard that will occasionally pose a question or conversation topic that people are invited to respond to by writing on the board.
The theory is that a good thoughtful question opens the door to dialogue and discovery; it’s an invitation to think creatively rather than just problem solve. In other words a good question shift’s the focus to possibilities instead of jumping to immediate “fix it” type responses.
So everyone is invited to put forth their comments on the board in the spirit of a constructive “back of the toilet door” kinda way. Every few weeks the comments on the board will be “harvested” to make room for fresh contributions. The harvested contributions will be placed on this page. You can also make a contribution electronically by sending your comments or resposnes to a question directly to coord.ncc@flexinet.com.au and then it will be added to the board for you and eventually be placed on this page.
In terms of where these conversations and questions will lead, we aren’t too sure but maybe some themes and inspirations might emerge that will help steer the direction along.
