The Multicultural Excellence Awards are  back again for 2011!

These awards recognise the contribution migrants make to the Sunshine Coast and aim to increase the awareness of multiculturalism on the Coast.

Nominations have been extended by a couple days so they will now close on Tuesday 19th October in seven categories: academic/education; business; arts; health/medical; community; sport and youth achievement.

The awards will be held on Saturday 5 November. We will again be holding the event at the luxurious Coastline BMW showroom, Nicklin Way Currimundi. Thank you to Coastline BMW and the Kurz family for their support again this year.

Tickets are now on sale for the 2011 Multicultural  Excellence Awards!

The awards ceremony will be held on Saturday 5 November, beginning at 6.30pm at the Coastline BMW Showroom in Currimundi. Tickets are $25 and include a selection of fine wine from Purple Pallet, canapés from Kadek’s Kitchen, and the night will be hosted by Hot 91’s Tamara Von Dohren.

When do nominations close?
Nominations have been extended until Tuesday 19th October. Nominations have now closed.

Can I nominate myself?
Yes. You can either nominate yourself or an organisation, individual, school or business known to you.

Can groups submit nominations?
Yes, all local groups can submit nominations.

Can I nominate a person or group in more than one category?
Yes. You can nominate a person or group once in each category for which they are eligible.

How long should my nomination be?
The nomination forms give you the opportunity to write approximately one page to explain the reasons for your nomination.

Can I provide supporting material with my nomination?
Yes, please! You can supply any supporting documentation that you feel might enhance the eligibility of the nominee. Please note, any supporting material provided will not be returned to you.
